Spain Midfielder Xavi Does Not Feel Invincible

The Spain midfielder Xavi has given his review about the national team and has recognized that even as they are in good form, they do not feel invincible.

La Furia Roja have not lost on the international stage for a year and this weekend they welcome Turkey to the Bernabeu for a key World Cup Qualifier.

Xavi told Marca that whilst they know they are playing well, they "do not feel invincible" because these days "any team can beat you".

"It is better to be complimented than to be criticised and I hope that it lasts for a long time, but in football you cannot relax, because being the best one week does not count for anything. We have to continue working with the same humility to achieve victories," he explained.

The Barcelona man went on to admit that "we know someday the loss will come, but we want to delay it as long as possible".

With respect to the game this weekend against Turkey, Xavi declared that he is expecting their opponents to be "very competitive and aggressive".

"I expect Turkey will be very competitive, as they have shown in their last two matches. They are a very aggressive and patriotic team. They will surely try to block the midfield knowing that is where we are strong," he mused.

Xavi will be playing against the Turks at the Bernabeu, "He is an extraordinary player, one of the best in the world in his position, he is one of the best friends I have and I will miss him," he concluded.

Brian Dawkins Leaving The Eagles

Brian Dawkins said through out the season that he was hopeful and he'd work out a way to stay with the Eagles. He was the safety of the Philadelphia Eagles for the past 13 years

But now the San Francisco Chronicle has reported that Brain Dawkins and the Broncos have contracted to terms on an agreement and will be formally announced in Denver on Saturday.

Dawkins fills a huge hole for the Broncos. Their defense will be stocked with new, presumably young for the most part, faces. Dawkins gives them an experienced leader who can help the team forge a new defensive identity.

Brain Dawkins had a missing step from couple of years, but he is still many steps ahead of the team that the Broncos have been running out from them for the last few seasons. He's still strong against the run, another Denver anomaly, and no one's going to throw anything at him that he hasn't seen 50 times before.

"Lito Sheppard"

Lito Sheppard will visit the Jets Florham Park facility and if everything goes fine, the Jets team may get loser to landing a two-time Pro Bowl corner to play opposite the Darrelle Revis.

Lito Sheppard is a two-time Pro Bowl player who has encountered many injuries over the last few seasons. He can arrange in a line the inside in the slot and also the outside at corner. He is height lacking but with good reactive athleticism for the position. He has a very good handle over the game and also is very quick in the short-area. The body control while in transition is very good. He is well versed with the underneath cover skills to match up in the man-to-man situations.

He will make sure to get his hands on the receivers and turn around with good way alertness, while he played with his back to the quarterback. He can stand and realign with the ability to close on underneath routes. He has a lean and allows too much separation at break points. He will jump double moves and gets out of position with limited revival. He is at his best when in the press position where he can get the hands on the receivers to disturb the timing and rhythm of the offense team.

Jim Fassel - A Coach In The United Football League

The earlier coach of the New York Giants Jim Fassel will be the coach of Las Vegas in the United Football League. Though the announcements regarding the hiring is not yet confirmed. The United Football League commissioner Michael Huyghue said they would declare the hiring soon.

Jim Fassel brought the New York Giants to the super Bowl in 2001. But he was fired after three years. Jim Fassel was into the Balimore and served the raven's offensive co coordinator until he was beaten by Brain Billick on the team's bye week.

After that Fassel was not seen in football. He ran for the 'Skins job last spring, and also sent Al Davis a letter about the Raiders' gig. And was blamed bloggers for his dilemma.

Well now that Jim Fassel has convinced a football team that he deserves another shot at being a head coach, let’s hope they bring back all those old USFL team names.
